As the invisible wind brushes her olive skin,
there she stands, gazing at the infinite distance,
facing the other way, in the middle of a vast ocean
of edible leaves of grass
that beautifully dance in unison.
I cannot see her face,
but she lures with her charm like the setting sun.
Wearing her colorful dress, she looks
in the direction of the Northern stars,
reminding me of Lot’s wife in the Book of Genesis.
A light blue sky, an inviting dream on the horizon,
highlighted by her peaceful presence, I notice.
I wonder the catch for her attention.
I wonder the secret for such absorption.

Very nicely done. You bring the girl in the picture to life with your wondering about her.
Here is my offering for week 8: http://charleslmashburn.wordpress.com/2011/08/18/amber-waves-of-grain/
