I Won’t Wait

Shall I sit and wait
for you, my bittersweet?
Shall I burst and rot
for you, my delicate?
Are you really worth it?
Or shall I pursue and meet
some other bittersweet?
Oh, I forgot, you’ve said
I’m not worth your wait.
Ok, never mind,
I’m not gonna force it!
I shall no more wait.

  1. I love this song…one of my favorite Bob Marley’s many songs :) Waiting is definitely hard, but when it’s true love it’s worth it. This poem reminds me of army wives and how they deal with the thought of their spouses coming or never coming back from war…longest wait ever.

  2. “I’m not worth your wait”….whoa! That’s a powerful line! Good poem, thought-provoking.

Elyas! I’ve missed you. My life has been crazy. It’s good to be back on your page. I like
    your new theme!
